Not Sure, How to Maximize Support Grip?

Overview:
This is by far one of the most versatile fitness sandbags I’ve used. It has 8 strategically positioned handles, which immediately caught my attention because they let you grab the sandbag in virtually any hand configuration. That’s huge for grip training; you can challenge your forearms, wrists, and support grip in multiple ways depending on how you hold it.
The Meister 50lb Elite Fitness Sandbag package also comes with three removable kettlebells (10lb, 15lb, and 20lb), which essentially gives you four pieces of training equipment in one. You can go from full-body 50lb sandbag exercises to smaller, focused kettlebell work in seconds. I’ve found it excellent for curls, overhead presses, squats, lunges, and rows: basically hundreds of variations for strength and conditioning.
What I really like is the construction. The sandbag has a durable PVC shell and a thick inner foam core. It’s not one of those saggy, floppy sandbags you find elsewhere.
The firm core keeps its shape while still giving just enough cushioning for carries and squats. That makes your lifts feel controlled, stable, and safe, which is exactly what you want when you’re training your grip and handling awkward loads. Overall, this setup is incredibly flexible.
If you’re looking to combine functional strength, grip endurance, and full-body conditioning, the Meister Elite Sandbag is one of the few tools that does it all without needing multiple separate pieces of equipment.
What are the Pros & Cons of Meister Elite Fitness Sandbag?
Includes 3 Sand Kettlebells
Pros:
- Includes 3 Kettlebells: Inside the main sandbag, there are three smaller ones – Removable kettlebells that weigh 10 lbs (4,5 kg), 15 lbs (6,8 kg) & 20 lbs (9 kg) – Excellent addition for separate free-weight exercises.
- Reinforced Inside Core: Meister Elite Sandbag has an exclusive thick inner foam core that gives it rigidity, making it tough while adding more cushioning for comfort & support.
- Portable, Ideal for Travelling: These 10lb, 15lb & 20lb kettlebells come empty & weigh just 7 oz (200g). With an inner Sand Fill Line & printed instructions on the bag, filling and sealing them is fast & easy.
- Durable: Built with a durable PVC shell that is designed to last.
- Includes Heavy-duty YKK zipper: Handy, makes your life so much easier by allowing you to quickly & easily load or unload the bag.
- Includes 8 Separate Handles: Made of thick, solid core rubber, to provide you with excellent grip, support & comfort. Built & placed in a way to help you with multiple different workout grip configurations & also includes multiple angled handles.
- Ideal for circuit training & cardio conditioning: Meister Elite Sandbag is great for hundreds of possible exercises – Overhead presses, squats, rows, curls. Well… You name it!
- Inner Sand Fill Lines: Kettlebells have specific fill lines marked in them, making filling bags to exact weight very simple & easy. Saves you from the hassle of measuring how much sand you need.
Cons:
- No poster or workout guide included: Not really a con towards the bag itself, but it would improve the overall introduction. Especially towards complete beginners who might be eager to get their hands on their first sandbag set, but have no idea how to train with one.
- Does not come with sand: This is usually a standard drill for any sandbag product out there. It’s cons & pros at the same time – Without sand, the product is lighter & you save on shipping costs. On the other hand, you have to go through the hassle to get sand separately. Fortunately, sand is cheap & you can get it a lot with no problem.
- It may be too light for some athletes: It depends on your profession. Serves as good equipment, & covers the needs of most athletes easily. Unless you’re in a strongman scene, a 50 lbs / 23 kg sandbag might feel a little on the light side & bigger men can easily throw it around like a little toy, even with one hand.

How Can Using the Meister Elite Sandbag Improve Your Grip Strength?
Sandbag is Intense for Grip Work
One of the things I love about the Meister Elite Sandbag is how grip-intensive it is. Those eight handles aren’t just convenient: they force your hands, wrists, and forearms to work hard to stabilize the load. Every carry, press, or row challenges your support grip, which is exactly the kind of grip strength that carries over to other lifts like deadlifts, pull-ups, and even heavy farmer carries.
For example, doing bent-over rows or front-loaded squats with the sandbag really hits your forearms because the bag’s shape shifts slightly as you move. That dynamic load keeps your hands engaged and builds endurance over time. Even overhead presses and lunges require you to stabilize the bag in a way that traditional dumbbells or kettlebells don’t.
Another bonus is using the removable kettlebells for smaller lifts. Holding a kettlebell while performing curls, presses, or carries adds another layer of crush and pinch grip training.
Over time, this combination of sandbag and kettlebell work develops forearm density, grip stability, and overall hand strength, which pays off not just in your lifting but in real-world tasks that demand a strong hold.
If you train consistently with this setup, you’ll notice that your grip endurance improves dramatically, your wrists feel more stable under load, and you’re able to handle heavier weights in other exercises without your hands giving out first. Simply put, the Meister Elite Sandbag isn’t just a full-body tool, it’s a grip-builder you won’t want to skip.
What is My Final Evaluation of Meister Elite Fitness Sandbag?
Unique Design & Saves Space
Honestly, the Meister Elite Sandbag is one of the most versatile training tools I’ve used at home. Its compact design is a huge plus; it saves a ton of space while still giving you access to multiple weights and exercises.
The fact that it includes three removable kettlebells inside the core is a game-changer. Technically, you’re getting four pieces of equipment in one, and that flexibility makes it perfect for anyone who wants a full-body, grip-intensive workout without cluttering their home gym.
What really sets it apart is the rigid, thick inner core. Most sandbags I’ve used tend to sag or shift unpredictably, but this one maintains its shape while still providing enough movement to make your grip work hard.
Every carry, press, or squat forces your hands, wrists, and forearms to stabilize the weight, which is exactly the kind of support grip training that transfers to deadlifts, rows, and other heavy lifts. It’s a totally different experience compared to regular sandbags, and honestly, it’s a lot more satisfying when you feel your grip challenged and improving with each set.
It’s also incredibly durable. The PVC shell is rugged enough to handle indoor and outdoor use, and the thick foam core gives enough cushioning to protect your joints while still keeping the sandbag heavy and challenging. You can perform hundreds of exercises with it, from full-body lifts to kettlebell-style movements, and I’ve found that the grip endurance you develop carries over into other lifts in a noticeable way.
In short, if you’re looking for a space-saving, multi-functional, and grip-focused training tool, the Meister Elite Sandbag is hard to beat. It’s simple, effective, and unlike anything else I’ve trained with, a unique way to challenge your whole body and build serious grip strength at the same time.

Hey, Henry.
This is an awesome review and I am already interested in getting one, right now!
I check your Amazon link and submitted my order but the standard shipping rate to my country
is $59.95 – this is more than 60% of the elite sandbag!
Hmm, what should I do now?
I’d say head over to amazon store closest to your country & check if they have this product available over there. This is by far the best solution given the item is available in that store.
This is nothing new that ordering overseas can increase shipping costs to the point it’s not worth investing into particular item alone. Either pair this item with bunch of other useful stuff to justify the shipping cost, or just drop the idea to get this particular item altogether.
You could also try & contact with Amazon support to ask what’s up, if there’s a way to lower these costs. You can do that via e-mail or phone, they have super friendly support & they respond quickly.
Lovely review mate, really neatly structured.
This Meister Elite sandbag looks amazing, and it’s a total bargain. For that price you also get these bad ass looking kettlebells and adjustable weight plus free shipping… wow.
With the movements shown in that video, you would also build a lot of explosiveness, right?
Yes, indeed. Conditioning work, cardio, circuit training, explosiveness.. you name it.
For fitness purposes this training equipment involves pretty much limitless number of possible exercises & as far as your creativeness goes.
If your goal is to do most of your workouts with one single tool only a sandbag could be it to help you to achieve that.
Hey Henry, this Meister Elite Sandbag package seems like a great piece of exercise equipment that will definitely help you get into shape.
I like the 3 removable kettlebells that come with the sandbag.
People might think 10, 15, & 20 lbs. is light but you can do a lot with lower weight kettlebells
(especially core work).
Thanks for reviewing this & keep up the great work Henry!
You’re welcome Andrew, glad you like it. Indeed, lighter equipment indicates to more cardio-related & conditionig work. Cardiovascular exercises & HIIT-like workouts. Plus you can involve & work your gripping muscles in the process as well.
I’m not a huge gym goer, but I love to keep fit. I have kettlebells and dumbbells at home, but I’d never heard of a sandbag before.
I love the fact you can make sand kettlebells though.
This actually seems like really good value for money and thanks for pointing out it has eight handles making it easy to perform a variety of exercises.
Sandbag can be ideal solution for home gym workouts. It has no restrictions where you can use it. Indoors or outdoors, in individual or group training sessions, on sandy & sunny beach or in mma fighting cage. There’s a lot of versatility & freedom of choice.
In case you have the option to load them up on the spot makes it even better for you. You can definitely take advantage of that fact fillable kettlebells are easily portable.
I’ve never really heard of this type of product before.
Using a sandbag as a kettlebell is something I’ve never really come across.
While I’ve slowed down on my workouts, this product seems like it might be worth it.
I know you say it might be too light for some athletes, but I think every athlete would probably find a way to utilize the product in their workout.
This is something I might consider using in the future. Thanks for the review and sharing!
Sandbag kettlebells are quite fresh & new trend indeed, as well as innovative approach. Including to sand, there are the ones that can be filled with water or pretty much with anything in that matter. Like dirt, or rocks. You can get creative here.
These are cute little toys. For bigger & tougher guys who are focusing on raw power combined with movement & loading events, there are strongman style sandbags available going up to ridiculously heavy weights. IronMind has one of the most famous ones.
